At present, the Wild Mind 'Institute' is an idea.  The institute would be dedicated to exploring and deepening the human/nature relationship across multiple fields.  In most areas of human inquiry including ecology, psychology, and philosophy, there is a growing consensus that the idea that humans are separate from the environment and the rest of existence is misguided. There is a recognition that we are embedded both physically and spiritually within something bigger than ourselves.  Developing a truer understanding of this is one of the great opportunities of the 21st century.

The vision for an institute is to bring together people from around Australia and the world, to share experiences, offer workshops, courses and training that support and inspire the development of new ecologically informed paradigms and practices. This is a cross-disciplinary project encompassing fields that might loosely be brought together under the banner of experiential human ecology.

The universe is a communion of subjects,
not a collection of objects.
